How to Follow Up If You Haven't Received Your USCIS Receipt Notice After Filing?

Some applicants run into this situation: their case was filed quite some time ago, but they still haven't received a Receipt Notice.

They submit an e-request to USCIS and are told that the agency will respond within 30 days. However, in practice, the request may go unanswered.

In this situation, in addition to waiting for USCIS to respond, you can also try contacting USCIS Lockbox Support and provide the following information:

• The type of form submitted

• The filing date and mailing address used

• The applicant's and beneficiary's names and dates of birth

• The mailing address listed on the form

• Receipt Number (if available)

• A description of the issue, such as not having received the I-797C Receipt Notice

Lockbox Support generally responds within 30 business days.
